The Labor Day trip to Ashland
was another H&B success. A group of 18 enjoyed the various
options this trip offers, including the Shakespeare Theater, the
Brit Fest, and of course, cycling and hiking. Stan Wong
coordinated rides with the Siskiyou Cycling Club who shared a 52
mile challenging ride with some of our group. Others rode the
hills of Jacksonville and met some of the locals. Our group
ride was about 32 miles (more hills of course!), with a short
detour to see the local salmon ladder. Hikers enjoyed the
splendid views from atop a few of the mesas in Ashland.
Complimenting the trip were the local foods and wines and of
course, the camaraderie of our group.
