Celebrating New Years Week-end in Monterey - 2011

Once again Hikanbykers rang in the New Year in Monterey, this time led by Stan Wong.  This year, in addition to the  usual bike ride on the 17 Mile Drive on New Year's Eve, some folks joined Charlie Uhlman on a kayaking adventure. That night some of us enjoyed the free outdoor music provided by Monterey's First Night festivities.  On New Year's Day we did our traditional pilgrimage ride to Moss Landing for cioppino at Phil's Fish House. There we also saw two mating sea otters!  Then on Monday of this three-day weekend we hiked at beautiful Point Lobos.
